Each year, we feature the work of artists affected by multiple sclerosis in our annual MSAA Art Showcase. We receive many wonderful submissions from across the country and are delighted to share the work of these artists and their inspirational stories with you, including highlighting one artist each month as our Artist of the Month. This month, we are proud to feature artist Luis Aparicio of Dallas, TX:
About the Artist – Luis Aparicio
“I am a live sketcher diagnosed with PPMS. I love sketching places as well as people in action, finding beauty in our everyday surroundings. When sketching live, I only have a few minutes to convey the story, so I see my sketches as finished works instead of preliminary studies for future pieces. MS has stripped me of the precision I used to have with a pencil, so I’ve developed a free and spontaneous style which has been liberating.”
