Each year, we feature the work of artists affected by multiple sclerosis in our annual MSAA Art Showcase. We receive many wonderful submissions from across the country and are delighted to share the work of these artists and their inspirational stories with you, including highlighting one artist each month as our Artist of the Month. This month, we are proud to feature artist Barbara Dixon of Woodstock, GA:
About the Artist – Barbara Dixon
“I have been painting oil portraitures for over 30 years and my work has been featured in many juried art competitions, including being awarded best of show. I studied under famous painter, Robert Fabe and continued for many years in the corporate environment. After a diagnosis of MS, I decided to give up commercial art and focus on refining my skills with the guidance of Deborah Tidwell. I also enjoy creating chalkboards with chalk markers, chalk paints, and oil pastels.”
