Each year, MSAA features the work of artists affected by multiple sclerosis in our annual MSAA Art Showcase. We also highlight one artist each month as our Artist of the Month. This month, we are proud to feature artist Jacquie Young of Lewes, DE:
About the Artist
“Before a speed bump better known as MS changed my life, I had worked as a portrait photographer. When I returned to photography, I took a few classes to brush up on today’s technology of digital imaging.
Today’s technology has given me a path of therapy creating with graphics. It is through my lens I capture visions that portray uniqueness in a different spectrum of light, the unseen surreal spectrum of infrared. The ‘surreal’ sense of infrared imagery feels as surreal as my diagnosis of MS. Regardless of my subject, I find passion for my subject matter, beauty and serenity in all my visions creating my art.”
