What inspired you to join MSAA’s Board of Directors?

“Having worked in the multiple sclerosis category for nearly a decade, I’ve been exposed to the myriad issues that MS patients face and I’ve become very connected to this community. MSAA’s mission to be the leading resource for the entire MS community and to improve lives through vital services and support is exquisitely tuned in to the real needs of real people. MSAA deeply understands the realities of what it’s like to live with MS and I am inspired by the Association’s commitment to support people in meaningful and practical ways.

Whether it’s helping an MS patient get an MRI or helping them to understand their treatment options or something as simple as providing a cooling vest, the MSAA team truly seeks to understand and help thousands of individuals living with MS every day of the year. I am inspired by MSAA’s work of improving the lives of people living with MS as well as the lives of their loved one.

MSAA may be a relatively small organization, but it is mighty in its impact and I am honored to be a member of the Board of Directors.”

What are your goals as an MSAA Board Member?

“My goal as an MSAA Board Member is to help the Association build its digital media presence, with a focus on bringing to life the many success stories of people that the MSAA has helped as well as the incredible stories of personal commitment of MSAA team members. And, of course, I look forward to helping to deepen and broaden the corporate donor pool for MSAA.”

Editor’s Note: MSAA is extremely proud and honored to enlist the support of Alexandra von Plato and all of our dedicated Board Members who volunteer their time, expertise, compassion, and leadership to help us achieve our mission of improving lives today for the entire MS community. We are very grateful for their service and look forward to their continued support as we strive to serve more people in more places than ever before. Thank you once again Alexandra!
