These grilled shrimp skewers deserve a place at your Memorial Day cookout. Marinated in a yummy lemon and garlic mixture, they’re packed with flavor. Plus, they come together in a snap making them the perfect addition to any grilled menu.
15-20 minutes is all the time you will need to prepare them!
Ingredients
- 2 lb. extra-large shrimp
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
- Peel the shells and tails from shrimp and clean.
- Combine the lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper and crushed red pepper in a large bowl. Add the cleaned shrimp and toss well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the mixture and add 5 pieces to each skewer. Place the skewers on the grill over direct heat. Cook until the shrimp are pink all over, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove from the heat.
