When living with a chronic illness like multiple sclerosis, building a community for yourself of people who truly get it is incredibly valuable. Having a support network in your life of people who are there for you in easy times and hard can make all the difference. A support network can be made up of neighbors, friends, and family members you see regularly. And, with the variety of digital options, your support network can easily be found in virtual forums, like MSAA’s My MSAA Community.
My MSAA Community is a free, online peer-to-peer forum designed specifically for people living with MS, their families, loved ones, and care partners. This safe, online space allows people to connect by sharing stories, asking questions, and providing encouragement.
The more than 10,000 members of this community are all people who have been affected by MS in some way and share an understanding of what life with multiple sclerosis can look like. The conversations in this forum don’t just offer support during hard moments. They add warmth, occasional humor, and a connection to others. As one community member put it, “I am so grateful for this forum and everyone here. Knowing that I am not on the MS journey alone has done wonders for me.”
