Hope Angel – April 2024 Artist of the Month

MSAA features the work of many talented artists affected by multiple sclerosis as part of our annual MSAA Art Showcase. About the Artist – Hope Angel:

As an emerging artist, I strive to live outside the mainstream. I appreciate the eccentric alongside the ordinary. My art is a product of my imagination. Haunting. Unique. Abstract. Surreal. Brightly colored. My paintings say it all without saying a single word.

Water speaks to and inspires me. It feeds my diverse and varied artwork. The forgiveness of acrylics allows me to skew and transform water’s powerful energy. This earthy element draws the attention of the viewer into the texture and vision of the painting itself.

Altering how we view art is but one way to challenge the unwritten rules, beliefs, and fears that shape our world and behaviors within. Its willingness for transformation makes it the perfect medium for soulful exploration. My goal is to inspire those who see my art to take an imaginary trip with me and explore the world from a unique and colorful perspective.”
