Each month we share these artists’ inspiring stories and beautiful artwork with you as our Artist of the Month. This month, we celebrate Leslie Pino Durant as April’s Artist of the Month. Leslie is from Placitas, New Mexico.

About the Artist – Leslie Pino Durant:

“I am in my 20th year with multiple sclerosis. I have been creating mixed-media art for almost 10 years now. Both are very challenging but not impossible. MS zaps my energy and creating art increases it. They both take time to master their intricacies, but MS is unpredictable. The best part of being an artist right now is that I forget all of the woes of my world and focus on color, light, composition, collage, and experimenting. It’s a glorious release of positivity that I’m sure helps my body, mind, and spirit live with MS, not in the forefront.”
