This month, we celebrate Leidy Burgos as March’s Artist of the Month. Leidy is from Philadelphia, PA.

About the Artist – Leidy Burgos:

“I am an artist and mother from Philadelphia, PA. My love of art stemmed from a tough life and a means to free my mind. I’m Leidy Burgos, and I embrace what is around me and take it to canvas, paper, or even a piece of cardboard lying around. With pencil in hand or whatever medium is available, art helps me get away from the tough world and helps me speak at a different level besides using words or tears from suffering that comes with having MS. After being diagnosed, I used my abilities to outweigh my disabilities and show that the harder life hit, the more I wanted to hit back with color! Because art is freeing.”
